Dress code for clubs in Bali - travel next week

If they want to go out in Kuta you can wear whatever you like! If you went out in a dress shirt you would actually look out of place in most bars, same goes for high heels. People certainly do wear nicer clothes but it is a minority. If they go to clubs like the Bounty or Engine room most of the guys are in singlets, casual shorts and thongs! I always wear Vans type shoes as your feet get wet with spilt drinks and bottles often get dropped on the ground. Upstairs at Skygarden people are still dressed in very casual attire but you will see more people with a shirt or nicer skirt for the girls.

If they go to some of the trendier clubs in Seminyak like La Favella, Townhouse, Jenja..etc then most people wear Jeans and a collared shirt or at least nicer shorts.

Just pack one pair of shoes for the guy, and for girls just sandal type shoes are the most appropriate .

Oh and my theory is that once they go out and experience what a great time you can have in Kuta they will be going out on more than 2 occasions!!
