Footwear - Bag - Bal

Hi

I'm off to Bhutan for just over two weeks on Thursday, and am just packing. Our tour has been organised by Yudruk and i think that things are fairly sorted.

Here's a few quick questions that i would welcome input on:

- Headwear: i will wear a hat as sun/rain protection. also to cover bad hair. i have a nice Tilley Hat and also a Field Cap (i.e. like a baseball cap but not). I worry that the field-cap can look overly militaristic especially as i only have one in black and one in green. is there any great sensitivity to wearing slightly militaresque headware? (i know that this will sound stupid to some but those who have travelled in areas where such things matter will appreciate the rationale for asking).

- footwear: we are walking the Druk Trail and i will have some medium weight high ankle water resistant boots for this. for shorter hikes, day-hikes etc i would prefer to wear something lighter - will hiking sandals do, and will it be warm enough in May for such footwear (without socks of course). on arrival at temples is the etiquette to go in bare foot or socks on?
thanks,

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
