Best screen for movies?

Hello,
I'm considering buying a hybrid laptop with either 12,5" 16:9 screen or 13,5" 3:2 screen.

I wonder which screen provides more surface for video display. And by that I mean the actuall real-world dimensions of displayed movie, not the percentage of the letterbox. I believe there's a method to count it.
