Best sounding android music player?

Hello, new member here.
Until recently I had an irrational aversion to the idea of listening to music on my phone, much preferring stand alone players. Also I always assumed ipods/high res players were bound to sound better.
Anyway I thought I'd try a music player app just for the hell of it and to my surprise it sounds fantastic. Poweramp, it is - apparently regarded as the best sounding music player from what I've read.
Is it though? I've tried Neutron player too, which sounds at least as good to me.
Any other recommendations? Not bothered about how fancy it looks - just the sound.
please help.
