Security company investigates '150,000 cameras' hack

Hackers also said they had access to a security camera at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, where the gunman killed more than 20 people in 2012.Speaking to Bloomberg, Tille Kottmann claimed to have been credited with hacking Verkada's system.Kottmann said the reason for the hack was "So much curiosity, the struggle for freedom of information and anti-intellectual property, a lot of anti-capitalism, the anarchy indication - and it's too fun not to do that.Simple attacks were reported - they were able to access Verkada through a "super admin" account.
