The Chevy Bolt EUV received a lower-than-expected EPA range of 247 miles.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said the new "EUV" Chevy Bolt of 2022 will travel an average of 247 miles on a full battery, three miles from the estimate General Motors provided when it was announced in February. Meanwhile, an updated version of the existing Bolt is top rated at 259 miles, something GM had predicted.The EUV (which stands for "electric utility vehicle") is more of the traditional Bolt-like compact design of the SUV. It's about six inches longer and slightly wider than the standard Bolt and weighs almost 100 pounds.

Being able to do less miles with the สล็อต same 65kWh battery pack isn't surprising. But finally, it's useful to have an EPA rating to compare with competitors.These ratings are for city and highway driving combined.The EPA says owners should expect a little more benefit from each new vehicle when limiting urban driving (roughly 267 miles for the EUV and 280. Miles for the regular Bolt), while more demanding highway driving will drain the battery faster (about 223 miles for the EUV and 233 miles for the regular Bolt).

The Bolt was one of the first long-range options to enter the non-Tesla-made EV market, and while it was disappointing GM was unable to take advantage of some of the technology it was developing for its upcoming Ultium battery packs. (This will power a more capable EV, such as an electric Silverado pickup truck or a twin-electric Hummers). Offers ample range for most people's daily driving needs at a lower cost.

The bigger question for these new bolts is the reliability of battery packs, GM recently had to recall in response to reports of fires on a number of battery packs, and so is Hyundai, which uses batteries. The same LG Chem in Kona EVs, the Detroit-based carmaker's revision involved installing additional software to detect faults in the battery pack and told The Verge that the software would install on all new bolts.
