Flintshire Offers Switch to Reusable Containers

Tackling this waste is what drives a new experiment called Naked Takeaway in Flintshire.Several businesses in Mold and Caerwys are asking customers if they want food delivered in reusable cans. which does not require a deposit but must be returned later

Coffee shops and restaurants rely on customers to bring back the durable containers or have them ready for pickup the next time they order.

I don't think there's enough trust these days," said Ansloos, whose regular customers order dishes like Sunday dinners and curry every week.The project is supported by local group Mold Plastic Reduction alongside Mold, Caerwys and Llangollen City Council and the cans were purchased with a grant from the Welsh government.
