US and UK agencies accuse Russia of political cyber campaigns.

US intelligence agency And Britain accuses Russian military hackers of being behind an ongoing cyber campaign to steal emails and other data, including from parliament.

The campaign focuses mainly on the SLOT XO United States and Europe.It is said to have hundreds of targets around the world. including UK political partiesThe same group accused of stealing and leaking Democratic Party emails during the 2016 US presidential election.

The US states that the group resides at GRU's 85th specialty service center, sometimes called Fancy Bear, APT28, or Strontium.One of the latest targets is the Norwegian Parliament for the summer of 2020.

Microsoft has previously said the same campaign was aimed at organizations in the United States and the United Kingdom directly involved in political elections. This includes political parties in the UK.
